I am indebted to early readers on Medium for sharing their favorite moments of the story with me. They greatly admired and enjoyed the illustrations created by AI on Midjourney. I, too, came to feel these were vitally important to promoting and maintaining reader interest and engagement.

Consequently, I wanted the best illustrations to introduce each chapter of my book.

This confirmed my decision to self-publish. I wanted to publish versions using the colorized illustrations, no matter the price. However, I had to publish some editions using the black-and-white versions for affordability.

A Kindle edition was necessary for both the color and a low price.
